GEDA

GEDA for phone shops

Every phone sold, with its IMEI on the sale.

The till asks for the serial or IMEI of each phone before the sale goes through. When a customer comes back, type or scan the number and see the sale it left on.

No card needed.

Example screen. Example of the till asking for serial or IMEI numbers before checkout: one phone with one number entered, another model with two units and two numbers entered, and a continue button.

What a phone shop counter has to get right.

  • Three of the same model leave in a day, and nobody wrote down which one went to whom.

The till asks for one IMEI per phone before the sale completes, and refuses a blank or a repeat.

    At checkout
  • A customer comes back with a phone and says they bought it here.

Scan or type its IMEI. Serial lookup shows the sale reference and the date it was sold.

    Serial lookup
  • A customer picks a phone, then goes to fetch the money.

Hold the cart with a note and serve the next person. Resume it when they are back.

    Paying later
  • A regular takes a phone now and pays at the end of the month.

Sell it on credit to their account. The balance stays on their page until they pay.

    Paying later
  • An office wants ten handsets and a written price first.

Write a quote, print it, turn it into an invoice, and record payments as they come in.

    Quotes and invoices

No phone leaves without its number.

Switch on serial tracking for a product once. From then on, every unit of it rung up at the till needs its serial or IMEI typed or scanned before the sale is created.

  • One serial per unit, so two of a model means two numbers
  • A blank or a repeated number is refused before the sale
  • Works for a phone found by scanning its barcode, not just a tap on the grid
  • Chargers and cases sell without a serial, set per product
Example screen. Example of the till asking for serial or IMEI numbers before checkout: one phone with one number entered, another model with two units and two numbers entered, and a continue button.

Find a sold phone by its number.

Scan the label on the box or type the IMEI. GEDA shows which product it was, when it was sold, and links to the sale.

  • Works with a barcode scanner: scan and press enter
  • The sale reference opens the full sale
  • A voided sale shows as voided, not as sold
Example screen. Example serial lookup: an IMEI typed into the search field and one result, a Tecno Spark 20 marked sold, with its sale reference and the date it was sold.

Hold the phone, or put it on their account.

A customer who will be back in an hour gets a held cart with a note. A regular you trust buys on credit, and you see what each one owes.

  • Hold a cart with a note, and resume it from the till
  • Credit sales go to a named customer, never to nobody
  • Record a payment against what they owe
Example screen. Example customer account: Aminata Kamara owes four hundred and fifty Leones, with her credit and payment history and a record-payment action.

A bulk order, on paper, paid in parts.

Write a quote for an office or a school, convert it into an invoice, print it, and record each payment until it is paid.

  • Quotes become invoices without retyping
  • The IMEIs are taken when the payment that settles it is recorded
  • See what your stock is worth, at cost and at retail
Example screen. Example invoice INV-0012 for five thousand Leones, two thousand paid so far and three thousand still due, marked partially paid.

Works on the phone or laptop you have.

Questions owners ask.

Does it record the IMEI?

Yes. One serial or IMEI per phone, typed or scanned at checkout, for every product you mark as serial-tracked.

Can I find a phone I sold months ago?

Yes. Serial lookup finds it by its number and shows the sale it went out on.

Do accessories need a serial too?

No. Serial tracking is switched on per product, so chargers and cases ring up like anything else.

Can customers buy on credit?

Yes, a customer with an account. Their balance shows on their page until they pay it.

Open the shop's account today. Record the next IMEI you sell.
